The Main Hall is 11.70 metres wide. It is 12m long with the front part of the stage folded up, or 11m long when the front part of the stage is folded down to give a half-height platform.
- Cinema-style the Hall will hold 150 people.
- For dining, the hall will hold about 100 in comfort.
Some events have more people in the hall, and they can be very enjoyable; but organisers should realise there is a trade-off between comfort, ease of movement and capacity.
For a large event, you would normally hire both halls, so the Small Hall could be used as a food service area, a bar, or a quiet room.
If you are planning an event with larger numbers, discuss it with the Booking Secretary and prepare a table plan and seating plan in advance. Make sure that your set-up team know EXACTLY what they must do. AND make sure that your clear-up team know where to put things back!

Ventilation There is a ventilation system; the switch for this is in the kitchen.
The Main Hall kitchen has a range cooker, a microwave, a hot water urn, a plate warming cabinet, a commercial dishwasher and a domestic fridge. It has crockery, cutlery and glassware to serve a meal to more than 100 people. There is a also a freezer, which is located in the Committee Room.
